Since its debut, the Cybertruck has stood out for its futuristic design. Tesla added another way to personalise it with a selection of colourful wraps. Here is a closer look at the options described in this archive article and what they offered Cybertruck owners.

A wider palette: new wrap options

Tesla expanded its Cybertruck wrap range with three new colours: Satin Rose Gold, Satin Abyss Blue and Slip Grey. They joined Satin Stealth Black and Satin Ceramic White, giving owners more ways to change the look of their vehicles and stand out on the road.

What Tesla’s wraps offered

The original report listed Tesla’s Cybertruck wraps at $6,000 and described them as a durable, high-quality option. Made from a self-healing urethane film said to be twice as thick as conventional vinyl wraps, they were intended to provide added protection against scratches and damage. The wraps covered the Cybertruck’s exterior stainless-steel surfaces, changing its appearance. The article also claimed an environmental benefit, although it did not provide supporting evidence for that claim.

The growth of personalisation

Alongside Tesla’s own offering, custom and aftermarket wraps were gaining popularity. Some buyers considered Tesla’s prices too high and looked to other specialist companies. That response highlighted demand for distinctive vehicle styling and the importance owners placed on making a car their own.

A changing perspective: the Cybertruck’s cultural impact

Early concerns about the Cybertruck’s appeal and unusual appearance did not prevent its cultural presence from evolving. While some wondered whether its futuristic shape would eventually become familiar, the expanding market for custom wraps showed owners looking for ways to keep their vehicles individual. Colour and finish became another outlet for that creativity.

The additional wrap colours gave Cybertruck owners more choice, whether they preferred Tesla’s finishes or a design from an independent specialist. As the community grew, personalisation offered a way to make an already distinctive vehicle feel even more personal.

The Teslhub team has also had first-hand experience of wrapping a car. In the accompanying video, we explain the process, share how it went and introduce the company that carried out the work, which we were pleased with.
