With summer approaching, Tesla had previewed another substantial software release: 2024.26. This article looked ahead to its main features, with availability depending on the vehicle, market and rollout.

YouTube Music

YouTube Music Premium was coming to supported Tesla vehicles, giving subscribers access to its catalogue of more than 100 million songs, podcasts and personal playlists, alongside existing services such as Spotify and Apple Music.

Amazon Music

Amazon Music was also getting a dedicated app in supported Tesla vehicles. Access to music and podcasts depended on the user’s Amazon subscription and the catalogue included in that plan.

Parental Controls

Owners would be able to enable Parental Controls using a PIN, including a maximum speed limit and restricted acceleration. Drivers could not change or disable the protected settings without entering that PIN.

Weather forecasts and air quality

The status bar would show local weather conditions. When air quality was poor, an AQI symbol and index value would alert the driver.

Charging and preconditioning schedules

The redesigned scheduling menu and Tesla mobile app would let owners plan charging and preconditioning without having to enter a navigation destination.

Navigation to specific locations

When entering a destination in navigation, users would be able to choose a more specific location, such as an individual airport terminal, for more precise directions.
