Tesla Q2 2026 deliveries: the official figures

The figures concern the second quarter, from April to June. Tesla reports Model 3 and Model Y together and groups other vehicles in a second category. The table distinguishes vehicles leaving factories from those delivered to customers.

Tesla Q2 2026 deliveries and production: why they differ

Production and delivery describe two different moments. A vehicle can be built in one quarter and delivered in the next. It is therefore useful to keep the two columns separate when reading a quarterly summary, rather than expecting them to match.

Deliveries exceeded production by 28,368 vehicles in this quarter. That arithmetic difference alone does not reconstruct the inventory situation: the brief release provides no detailed stock count for vehicles in transit or in individual markets. Attributing the gap to a precise cause would require additional data.

What we know about individual models

The Model 3/Y category combines a saloon and an SUV. Its aggregate total allows that group to be tracked but does not reveal deliveries for each of the two cars. The same limitation applies to other models: the release provides no individual breakdown.

For anyone following a particular Tesla, this has a practical implication: a group total cannot automatically become an individual model’s sales result. Nor can ready-to-deliver inventory or Italian order lead times be inferred from this worldwide table.

Energy storage is measured in GWh

Alongside vehicles, Tesla reports 13.5 GWh of storage product deployments. A gigawatt-hour measures a quantity of energy: here it describes storage system capacity, rather than the number of batteries or cars.

This measure must therefore be read separately from deliveries. It does not indicate electricity generated during the quarter or directly establish how many homes were powered. A sound comparison requires retaining the same unit and checking exactly which activity the figure concerns.

These figures are not yet the financial results

Delivery volume is not the same as revenue or profit. Average prices, costs and other components affect financial results. The release previews operating volumes and points to the financial presentation on 22 July 2026: it does not yet contain those results.
