Tesla announced FSD (Supervised) demonstrations in Italy, experienced from the passenger seat. Throughout December 2025, selected Italian Tesla Stores were to host ride-alongs offering a preview of the company’s driver-assistance technology. This article describes that historical event programme, rather than current booking availability.
The initiative was intended to show how FSD responds to real traffic, road layouts and demanding situations. It offered a preview of functions that European customers might later use in their own cars, subject to approval by the relevant authorities. The anticipated 2026 rollout mentioned at publication was an expectation, not a guaranteed launch date.
An experience from the passenger seat
The programme was a demonstration ride-along: participants would travel in the car, but would not drive it. Tesla staff would take them along a real route to show how the system interprets its surroundings and handles traffic, roundabouts, complex junctions and unexpected situations. The aim was to offer a closer look at the software and how supervised assistance might fit into everyday driving if authorised for customers.
Tesla made the following points clear:
- The features always require active driver supervision.
- The experience was a demonstration of FSD (Supervised).
- Availability depends on regulatory approval in each country.
- Participants would be asked to sign liability waivers for the appointment.

The Italian demonstration locations
The announced programme ran from 1 to 31 December 2025 in selected locations:
- Padua — Tesla Store Padova.
- Verona — Tesla Store Verona.
- Bologna — Tesla Store Bologna.
- Milan Linate — Tesla Store Milano Linate.
- Vittuone — Tesla Store Milano Vittuone.
- Rome Saxa Rubra — Tesla Store Roma Saxa.
At each location, trained Tesla staff and planned routes were intended to demonstrate the system’s capabilities under supervision.
How booking worked
Bookings were offered through Tesla’s website in the dedicated Full Self-Driving (Supervised) Ride-Along events section.

Participants could select a store and an available date, then complete the form. The announced experience was free, but places were limited. The retained link does not confirm that this past event remains bookable.
Why Tesla organised the programme
The announcement came amid discussion of a possible European FSD launch and reports about potential Dutch approval from February 2026. Tesla was expanding demonstration programmes across Europe, including Italy, to familiarise people with the technology ahead of any authorised customer rollout.
The purpose was to show the system’s progress and collect feedback from participants.

Looking ahead from December 2025
FSD (Supervised) was presented as Tesla’s most advanced driver-assistance offering and was already widely used in North America. A European rollout could represent a significant development, but remained dependent on regulatory decisions and driver-supervision requirements.
For Italian enthusiasts, the December 2025 programme offered a chance to see the system in action from the passenger seat. A demonstration was separate from permission to activate it in a privately owned car.
