A report has renewed interest in Grok on Teslas with Intel processors<\/strong>. Support files for the assistant have appeared in software packages for the Intel-powered Model 3: a technical clue that gives the discussion more substance, without amounting to a release announcement.<\/p>\n The discussion began with a community video showing Grok and the full-screen vehicle visualisation running on older hardware after unofficial activation. Independent researcher green subsequently confirmed finding Grok files in version 2026.38 for the Intel-powered Model 3.<\/p>\n Not all cars with an Intel processor are interchangeable. Green clarified that the files had not been found on older Model S and Model X vehicles with MCU2, while the positive finding concerned the Intel-powered Model 3. Automatically extending that finding to every model would therefore go beyond the evidence.<\/p>\n The software components show that some technical groundwork exists. They do not establish which configurations might receive the feature, in which markets or with which update. A demonstration achieved by changing internal settings also does not show that the feature is normally available to owners.<\/p>\n Asked about future activation by Tesla, the researcher did not provide confirmation. There is therefore no basis for promising Grok on Intel-equipped cars, or automatically linking it to the Holiday Update.<\/p>\n The development is worth watching for owners concerned that older infotainment systems might be left behind. The decisive step, however, would be an official release with clear requirements.
