The document does not announce national approval of Tesla\u2019s system.<\/p>\n<p>For anyone following driver assistance in Europe, the distinction matters: political discussion, technical assessment and activation in cars are separate steps. However, questions remain about ensuring that the driver stays attentive and ready to take back control, as well as concerns about compliance with speed limits.<\/p>\n<p>The minister therefore considers it preferable to wait for the EU decision. If European approval is granted, Norway will consider it in line with its obligations under the European Economic Area. Drivers must stay alert and ready to intervene; features also depend on the vehicle and applicable approvals.
