Following its North American debut the previous year, the assistant was expanding to non-English-speaking markets with local-language support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The update combined <strong>general conversation and navigation commands<\/strong> in one assistant for European users. It pointed towards a greater role for AI and connectivity in Tesla\u2019s in-car experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Update 2026.2.6: the European rollout<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At publication, the report estimated that <strong>2026.2.6<\/strong> was installed on around <strong>1.4% of the European fleet<\/strong>, with rollout in <strong>nine countries<\/strong>: the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Portugal and Spain. The access requirements listed were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a vehicle equipped with an <strong>AMD Ryzen processor<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an active <strong>Premium Connectivity<\/strong> subscription<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grok could be opened on the centre display or by holding the <strong>voice button on the steering wheel<\/strong>. Users could <strong>choose different voices and personalities<\/strong>, including <strong>Assistant, Storyteller, Therapist and Argumentative<\/strong>. Navigation commands required the <strong>Assistant<\/strong> personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/teslhub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Grok-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Grok in Europa\" class=\"wp-image-4887\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Grok as a navigation assistant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main addition was <strong>Grok with navigation commands<\/strong>. Rather than relying only on fixed phrases, <strong>the assistant understood natural-language requests<\/strong>, allowing users to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>add, change and organise navigation destinations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>respond to complex requests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>handle specific requests, such as finding a <strong>Supercharger<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim was to make route planning more conversational and personalised, with an <strong>assistant that could help organise the journey<\/strong> rather than simply display a destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Local-language support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tesla was not simply bringing over the North American version: <strong>Grok was localised for the selected European markets<\/strong>, understanding and replying in local languages. This made interaction more natural for users who had faced a language barrier in earlier versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What might come next?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initial rollout covered much of Western Europe. Tesla had indicated <strong>further expansion<\/strong>, including Nordic and Central European countries. The article also discussed possible future European FSD developments, but these were separate from Grok\u2019s availability and remained subject to their own requirements and approvals. At publication, <strong>timing for cars with Intel infotainment processors was still unclear<\/strong>. Any wider hardware support remained a possibility, not a confirmed release date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The European Grok rollout was a step towards more capable <strong>in-car assistants<\/strong>.
