It is more than a six-seat layout: <strong>its dimensions, cabin and features have been revised<\/strong>, with some equipment not offered on the more expensive Model S and Model X at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>At publication, the vehicle was intended for China<\/strong>. Reported German test sightings prompted speculation about a later European arrival, <strong>but testing did not itself confirm a European launch or date<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/teslhub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/jhgfd-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Tesla Model Y L\" class=\"wp-image-4293\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dimensions and passenger space<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Model Y L is approximately 18 cm longer than the standard Model Y<\/strong>, at around 4.98 m versus 4.79 m, and is slightly taller. The extra room accommodates a <strong>third seating row and a larger luggage area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The main seating changes described were:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>First row<\/strong>: heated and ventilated seats, adjustable head restraints and powered thigh support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Second row<\/strong>: heated and ventilated seats, adjustable head restraints, powered armrests and remote folding controls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Third row<\/strong>: heated seats, powered folding, dedicated USB-C ports and new side airbags.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/teslhub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/gfds-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Tesla Model Y L\" class=\"wp-image-4291\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/teslhub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/jhgf-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Tesla Model Y L\" class=\"wp-image-4292\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The article highlighted the addition of <strong>ventilated rear seats and powered folding<\/strong> as notable changes in Tesla\u2019s range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cabin and infotainment changes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A 16-inch centre display<\/strong>, compared with the standard Model Y\u2019s 15.4-inch display described at the time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>An 8-inch rear display<\/strong>, similar to the Model 3 Highland\u2019s and smaller than the Model S\/X display.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Revised wireless phone charging<\/strong>: up to 50 W on the driver\u2019s side, with active cooling using fans and air ducts. Actual charging performance depends on the compatible device and conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/teslhub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/asdfg-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Tesla Model Y L\" class=\"wp-image-4290\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The audio system also gains more speakers<\/strong>: 18 in total, compared with the standard Model Y\u2019s 15 in the configuration discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Performance and range<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tesla\u2019s quoted figures included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>0\u2013100 km\/h in 4.5 seconds<\/strong>, compared with 4.8 seconds for the European Model Y AWD cited in the article.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A CLTC range of 751 km<\/strong>. The original article suggested an approximate 525 km comparison, but that was not an EPA-certified result or a guaranteed real-world range. CLTC and EPA figures cannot be treated as directly interchangeable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other changes included <strong>efficiency-focused 19-inch wheels and suspension with variable damping<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Price and availability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Chinese starting price was reported as <strong>339,000 yuan<\/strong>, approximately \u20ac43,500 using the article\u2019s conversion, or roughly US$4,000 more than the Model Y AWD in that comparison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The suggestion that a European version <strong>might cost more than \u20ac55,000<\/strong>, positioning it <strong>between Model Y and Model X<\/strong>, was an estimate. Tesla had not announced European pricing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/teslhub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/uytr-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Tesla Model Y L\" class=\"wp-image-4294\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why the Model Y L also interests European buyers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At publication, the Model Y L remained a Chinese-market model, with first deliveries expected in September. <strong>Reported sightings of test vehicles in Germany<\/strong> fuelled discussion of a wider rollout, without confirming one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For European buyers, the six-seat format <strong>could fill a gap between the Model Y and the more expensive, larger Model X<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Model Y L therefore focused on <strong>larger families and buyers seeking the practicality of a six-seat SUV at a lower price point than Model X<\/strong>.
