At the 2024 Cyber Roundup, Musk discussed Tesla\u2019s next-generation driving computer, known as HW5 or AI5<\/strong>. This article recorded expectations of an introduction between late 2025 and the first half of 2026, alongside claims of up to ten times AI4\u2019s computing performance<\/strong>. These were forward-looking targets, not measured production results or a guaranteed rollout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The article compared the planned computer with HW4, which brought revised cameras and computing hardware. It argued that early software had not used HW4\u2019s full potential while Tesla continued supporting HW3.
