{"id":1243,"date":"2024-03-11T10:46:07","date_gmt":"2024-03-11T10:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teslhub.com\/?p=1243"},"modified":"2025-01-13T14:36:53","modified_gmt":"2025-01-13T14:36:53","slug":"avvistata-in-spagna-una-tesla-model-3-plaid-ludicrous","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teslhub.com\/en\/avvistata-in-spagna-una-tesla-model-3-plaid-ludicrous\/","title":{"rendered":"Uncovered Tesla Model 3 Performance spotted in Spain with a Plaid-style badge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-foo\">The much-rumoured Performance version of Model 3 Highland appeared uncovered near Valencia, Spain, carrying what looked like a Plaid badge and several visible changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/b4714d_b0796492e7d74ec19bcd6d86ca10f7c8~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_925,h_510,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto\/b4714d_b0796492e7d74ec19bcd6d86ca10f7c8~mv2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-utggn7940\">On the afternoon before this report, a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/teslhub\/status\/1761845799921611259?s=20\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">video<\/a> began circulating showing what appeared to be the 2024 Model 3, known as Project Highland, in Performance trim\u2014the version still missing from the range at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-nltgp7990\">Rumours suggested that its launch was imminent and that the car was there to film an advertisement. Neither point had yet been officially confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-gk63d7993\">What looked different?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-voc3t7995\">The <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/teslhub\/status\/1761845799921611259?s=20\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">video<\/a> showed substantial differences from the Standard Range and Long Range models, suggesting Tesla wanted to distinguish the trim levels more clearly than before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-xwqr38000\">Several details were immediately noticeable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>\u00a0Sports seats<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>\u00a0Aerodynamic wheel covers<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>\u00a0Red brake callipers<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>\u00a0Front splitter<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>\u00a0Plaid-style rear badge<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>\u00a0Lowered suspension<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>\u00a0Rear spoiler<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-81zu88025\">These were some of the visible details; a full reveal was expected to bring more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-7wyj88027\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-rf7p88028\">Plaid or Ludicrous badge?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-4ssz28030\">It was not yet clear which badge had been fitted, but its resemblance to the <strong>Plaid<\/strong> or <strong>Ludicrous<\/strong> design suggested an emphasis on performance, as already seen on the Plaid versions of Model X and Model S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/b4714d_e3b04f4e0ce242c796a593c4ef0ad18b~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_925,h_510,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto\/b4714d_e3b04f4e0ce242c796a593c4ef0ad18b~mv2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-ddoxb9275\">Sports seats<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-op3pv9277\">The images also appeared to show the sportier seats that had long been rumoured. Tesla seemed to be creating a greater distinction from the SR and LR models, giving buyers more reasons to choose the highest-performance version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/b4714d_2968e4c18cc64bbaa0d0ba9d0cc40fd6~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_695,h_403,al_c,lg_1,q_80,enc_auto\/b4714d_2968e4c18cc64bbaa0d0ba9d0cc40fd6~mv2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-gbmr210936\">Front splitter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-s63bf10938\">A front splitter also appeared to return. It had initially seemed absent from the Highland redesign, whereas the earlier Model 3 had featured one across all three trims. The new version appeared likely to reserve it for the Performance model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/b4714d_4c580fa7b1dd4d34948d00748b36973d~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_925,h_485,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto\/b4714d_4c580fa7b1dd4d34948d00748b36973d~mv2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-02sob12647\">The wait was becoming more intense as the rumours gathered momentum. Whether the launch really was imminent remained to be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-xx6lr13019\">For everyday driving, however, the Performance trim was not essential.
